After months of not hearing the grind it has returned. I thought it was a fluke, but alas, I was able to reproduce it.
Took the car out on a leisurely drive on a couple wide long highways, and twisting roads up in northern jersey. Launching out of first gear with sport mode on. Hard shift to second made it all come back. Did it again, with the intention of keeping the selector in line and to the left so it falls into second gear with no interruption, and grinded away again. PISSED ME OFF SO MUCH. This is not a sound I should be hearing when I am trying to drive an "ultimate driving machine."
To the stealership it goes this week, and the run around begins. But from what I have read in this forum and other, the solution is yet to exist?
