drilled through back of tip.
would have preferred just drilling the pipe, but was concerned that it would be too far back.
in hind sight it probably would have worked.
Not really a big deal either way though.
Mine are painted black. pics don't show much at all.
Also, the silencers look to be a second generation compared to the pics further up in this thread.
They are a single pressed piece of pipe and the nut is welded in place on the inside.
