I was in the process of purchasing the car and did lots of digging back to previous owners/shops. They could have all been lying to me for all I know, but without seeing the car in person, no one really knows the extent of the damage.
I owner of the ebay auction was the shop itself that did the work. They have photos of the vehicle before/after.
