Quick update, and a neat source for the parts if you need them....
I pulled the mid pipe and did all the welding. I put it back in before I replaced the headers. So, I had to put 2 old O2 sensors in as plugs, and needed the 14x1.5mm cap to cover the egt hole. I start scouring my bin of fittings, and find a cap that fits perfect.
The cap is for a steering fitting for a mercury verado outboard motor. The fitting that goes to the steering cylinder is what you need (225 - 350 HP size). If you have a local mercury verado dealer (go to their site) they probably have a few laying around form motor installs. They are 316 SS as well. Would do the same thing.
