I currently have the camera and monitor connected to and powered by the reverse light circuit - ground to brown wire, 12v from blue with green stripe.
I'd like to also have the ability to manually activate the camera and monitor for brief periods WITHOUT putting the car in reverse.
I see that the OP has done this, but do not follow his approach. So, can anyone give me a primer on how exactly to do this without frying my tail light harness?
I want to retain the current functionality, i.e. camera and monitor operate when the car is put in reverse. I just want to be able to manually activate them too.
