Hi all,
This has happened to me twice in the last week. I hear a loud ticking from the engine back while driving and the ticking increases frequency with revs. Last time I turned the car off and back on. Everything went back to normal but not this time. Here's a video of what I'm dealing with:
Some info on the car:
- 2006 N52 with 60 000 Miles
- No mods
- Have been using 0w-30 Castrol for a couple years
- Oil level sensor SAYS everything is fine but who knows
- The temps have been dropping here from 70s to 50s
- The car has always had quite a bit of soot around the exhaust on the bumper, not sure if that is related.
- No loss of power, still love the car
