I finally found some time to get the splitter installed.
I know most of you have these on already, but here is what I did with mine.
Instead of the turnbuckles for rear support, I wanted to get the support into the center more so that I could control the front angle better.
Step 1
Aluminum angle trapeze hangar, dropped from the upper supports using 1/4 - 20 SS threaded rod.
The drop length puts the trapeze in the gap below the rad.
Step 2
Plastic notched for threaded rod down to splitter.
Step 3
Aluminum flat bar (1/8) for under support of splitter to get a more even lift.
Step 4
Center carrier added to trapeze for addition strength in the middle.
(this was 1st gen, when I had planned to cut the plastic under tray)
Step 4
This is the 2 gen of the trapeze using rod couplers.
note: I spaced the couplers down from the trapeze to use minimal threads in the top of the couplers. (see mark on right coupler)
That way I had more thread from the bottom for height adjustment.
This allowed me to keep the under tray in one piece by drilling two holes & bolting the support up from the bottom.
All buttoned up.
For the back corner support I used a small piece of angle (drilled and bolted) on that plastic drop piece.
