Have you considered simply flashing your DME to the official european tune? The tolerances for the O2 readings might be relaxed a bit with the euro-tune.
If I'm not mistaken, the Euro DME software numbers are:
7840449 for the M-Roadster
7840461 for the M-Coupe
(I'm not sure why the roadster and coupe have different DME software)
