2008 Audi A6 new price $62000 fully loaded bought used 2 years old for $16500 dealers booboo guy was fired apparently it was still worth $36000. Still feel bad about this one.
2006 BMW z4 3.0i loaded new was $54000 bought cpo 34000 miles for $19999
2009 smart car. Bought new, paid sticker as it was what I wanted and smaller cars depreciate slower. Paid $16500.
2002 mini cooper S bought new again really wanted it paid $26000
So we are driving over $150,000 in cars and have only spent about 75k for all pretty good decent fun cars. I own a few classics but those don't fit the equation.
My wife drives the audi and bimmer I drive the smart and mini...I love the small cars. Though my friends tease me in the smart.
