That's problematic (in a way the UUC design isn't perfect either). The rear on the MZ4 is very finicky with brake line fitment, and the way the lines are routed on the rear trailing arm it means if the lines aren't exactly the same length and dimension as the OEM lines, interference may become an issue.

Personally? I'd leave the stock "rubber" lines alone. I'm not about to cut open mine, but someone with an E46 M3 did and they are stainless steel braids encased in rubber. In essence you're replacing a set of stainless steel lines with another.
