climate control is wonky - any steps to diagnose
My '07 m coupe sprung a leak (pretty sure it's the door membrane). I'm addressing it, but there's still a bit of moisture in the car.
Might it be this that's causing my climate control to be so wonky?
Today was a high of 58 degrees. I have to set the climate control at 64 or into the first click into the blue to get it so I'm not boiling up. Once out of the sun (shade of a cloud), it begins to feel chilly. Once again in the sun, it's too warm in the car.
I usually would keep the temp at 68 or 69 at most time, but that's far too warm now. When I put it on Max A/C, I get cold air although I haven't taken an infrared thermo meter to it.
My first thought is maybe there's a sun sensor that the climate control uses, but if so, where would it be? Perhaps it's faulty?
Any other steps I should take to diagnose this?
