The "old technology" is EXACTLY why my E86 3.0si is never leaving my fleet. It's supposed to be a driver's car and the "technology" is in the manual gear box, engine, and suspension. The manual transmission is an excellent theft-prevention device. The dashboard has zero distractions from the act of driving.

But that's the difference, the car in question is NOT a "manual", though agree a E86 manual is a keeper for the reasons you describe. $25k for a E86 "automatic" is a really strong offer, maybe even a record high.
