That's what I've seen on all of my motorcycles as well and I assumed this was probably the case. I wasn't concerned about anything wrong but since these shim kits do not always have the "perfect size" shim that you need to nail the preferred setting (middle spec) my intentions were to error on the side of how the lash changes with miles.
