Sticky situation for you, I understand better now. Best of luck with the hand finishing. Metal finishing is a black art sometimes. I have many years experience on stainless wine vats and such. Dialing in the brushed finish grain just right is like surgery. Aluminum is just softer, so it can be worked easier.
