I can only offer evidence as presented by Joe Marko from HMS. The plain, and simple fact is, 3 point harnesses on bucket seats are no safer than 3 point harnesses on standard, OEM seats, and in roll-over situations, because the bucket seat does not collapse the back, the end result between the two is spinal compression and death in a bucket with a 3 point, vs. OEM adjustable back and 3 point.

The manufacturers only have to meet certain MINIMUM standards as put forth by the governing body. To use BMW or Audi's example of 3 point harness in fixed bucket seat as evidence that 3 point harness is as safe as properly engineered 4-5-6 point harness used in conjunction with a proper roll cage/roll bar attachment in a race/fixed back application is preposterous.
