Oh yeah. two of my friends recently bought SI's, after driving my car. They both remarked about how nice the car was, in particular the power - and the steering. These guys are capable folks who carefully researched what they would buy, and they know what is good and what is not. The M is certainly better still in those areas of power and steering, but there is no way the SI is "pathetic".
